Shoe Box Swap

Today I attended a shoe box swap hosted by my SU! Upline, Donna. What a great time we had and every item we made was so nice! It's a great way to share ideas. Basically you make one sample card and kits for the rest and everyone makes one of each card. We had 11 people so we made 10 cards and of course our own. My sample is below. All SU! products. I used tempting turquoise, so saffron, chocolate chip and certainly celery. The stamp set is Awash with Flowers and the sentiment is from For All You Do. I used the small and large tag punch for the sentiment, added some certainly celery ribbon and dazzling diamond glitter and voila!

Woo Hoo - Signed Up to Be a SU! Demonstrator

I finally took the plunge and signed up to be a SU! Demonstrator. I am just waiting for my log in number and I'll be set to go.

Stamp-4-Fun!!

Today is Stamp-4-Fun hosted by my SU! demonstrator Donna Henley. I am really looking forward to it. July 1st I am signing up to be a SU! Demonstrator myself and I can't wait! There are so many benefits to being a demonstrator!

I made 10 swap cards for today's event. I used Kraft as my base (also known as Crumb Cake as of July 1st). I used Chocolate Chip, Riding Hood Red (a retired in-colour returning July 1st) and of course whisper white. The stamp set is Eastern Blooms. I cut the flowers out and popped them up. I also added Crystal effects in the middle of each flower which I'm sure is difficult to see. The small piece of riding hood red across the middle is embossed on my Big Shot using texture plates #4 from SU! The ribbon is also riding hood red. The sentiment is from One of a Kind. For All You Do

Hello All:

This morning I finally had some free time to sit down and make an Easter card for my Mom. I made a 6 x 6 easel card (great instructions here).

My newest stamp set from SU - For All You Do has quickly become a favourite of mine. The sentiment is from "Well Scripted" from the Occasions Mini. I used Cottage Wall DP and for cardstock I used old olive, rich razzleberry, orchid opulence and whisper white. The scalloped circles are a spellbinders die which I cut and embossed on my Big Shot. I have a small butterfly punch and I used the DP to cut a few out and added some pearls from my "Pretties Kit". I also embossed the orchid opulence flowers although it's hard to tell from the pictures. The ribbon is rich razzleberry.

I am hosting Easter dinner on Sunday for 12 people so I will give my Mom the card then. In the meantime, I hope she doesn't check out my Blog and spoil the surprise!

Pinwheel Card

A friend of mine Donna (also my Stampin Up Demonstrator) had a class a while ago and we made this card. I wanted to share it with you because I think it's a cute card and it was so quick to make. We used the small tag punch from Stampin Up. I won't attempt to give you directions but I know if you are interested, you could just do a google search and probably find really good instructions on how to make it.

One of a Kind

Nothing new to post today. I am working on card kits for a class I am teaching to my sister's Sorority on April 20th. I hope to finish them off this weekend. I then need to make a very special 80th Birthday card for my Mom for April 29th! My 4 sisters and I are taking her to Ottawa that weekend to celebrate.

On another note, I did get my order from Stampin' Up yesterday. I love their products. Their stamps are the best quality that I have ever worked with and trust me I have tried a lot of different stamps! I love the fact that the paper, stamps, and stamp pads all coordinate. You can make some beautiful creations using Stampin' Up supplies. Here's a photo of my newest addition to my stamp collection - "One of a Kind". I think the large flower will look really nice stamped, embossed, cut out and layered a few times! What do you think?
